Team Blue Ghostrider from DARPA did something like this. Also a group of high-schoolers I instructed last summer ('09) made a Lego NXT wheelie-bot so I know it's possible to auto-stunt a bike...I'm sure it'll come 2 pass sooner than later, human resistance is futile to robotic precision _\\//

Exactly. Gyroscopic actuators have existed for years. They also use them on wheelchairs that stand up and the ones that allow people to climb stairs. Due to the enormously high cost and lack of funding sources that would approve payment (such as insurances or medicare/medicaid) most people do not own wheelchairs like that.
