Erik Buell to Soldier On www.erikbuellracing.com
Buell Motorcycle Company founder and namesake Erik Buell has a new business venture on his mind, the aptly named Erik Buell Racing LLC. The company will be based in East Troy, Wis., and will be staffed by Buell and a veteran team of personnel.
The new company has two goals: 1.) to supply Buell motorcycle racing parts and provide race preparation services and technical support for Buell motorcycles, and 2.) to build and sell variations of the Buell 1125R for racing. Any new Buell racing motorcycles will be under license from Harley-Davidson, which is closing Buell Motorcycle Company on Dec. 18.
"I'm looking forward to helping Buell racers keep their bikes flying," Buell says. "We've got some exciting race development projects in the works and it will mean a lot to me personally to see Buell racers competing for wins and championships in the 2010 season and beyond."
The announcement of the formation of Erik Buell Racing was made Nov. 20, 10 days shy of Erik Buell's final scheduled day at Buell Motorcycle Company.

Theyr supplying mostly to privateers. Im sure there is more to it tho. Mayb in a couple years Buell will start putting out better streetbikes again. Hopefully this is just baby steps for now.
