Ok, so yesterday we are about to ride down the middle of hwy 44 in Inverness, FL it's closed off for a parade we were asked to do.. so we're off the side of the staging area, getting the bikes ready to go.. I clutch up a foot in seat O and the bike dies... My knee SMASHES!! into the lip of the tank, I didn't fall, i saved the bike with my right leg as i'm being tossed over the bars lol, so now i'm sitting on my bike knee throbbing, chest hurting i go to start it up.. fires right up, then dies... does this 2-3 times then stops all together.. we load it up, my girl is driving the van ( that is made up to look like a black bear "for the parade" ) and i'm in the back trying to figure the problem out.. I finally locate the problem.. Its the ignition.. so after pulling and pushing and twisting i finally find a position the bike is stuck in the on position at all times, key on key off it don't matter.. i zip tie the bitch kick the back doors open to the van and i'm back to it lol, so we tore up hwy 44 with about 5000 people lining the streets.. it was awesome..
NOW, this morning i went out to really fix the problem, take the cap off the back of the ignition and there are 2 wires ripped out of it.. The resister wire and the white one.. ( not sure what that one is ). I get them soildered back solid, put it all together.... works great.
Next i deside to shorten my foot plate an inch, take off the tail.. start to unbolt it and the bracket to the exhaust snapped off.. so now i'm strippin it down to get to that.. Just thought i'd share how good my weekend has been!!! going out to finish so i can ride this bitch today!!!! I'll let ya know what else i find!!

man those ignitions are funky. I've had corrision in mine before and it would cut out sometimes and work sometimes. I try to pull my ignition apart every now and then and clean it out now because of that.
