The following are the "for sale" area rules. If you have a comment or question about any of these, please PM myself, a supermod, or another admin, and we will try to respond to your inquiries in a timely manner.
By posting in this forum you are acknowledging that you have read and agree to the following rules/disclaimer:
How to Title Your Post:
For Sale Ad titles should look like this: "For Sale: (brief description)" or “FS: (brief description)” – there will be no exception to this rule. If the title reads “For Sell” instead of “For Sale,” then the thread might not stay where you left it.
For Trade Ad titles should look like this: "For Trade: (brief description)" or “FT: (brief description)”
Wanted to Buy Ad titles should look like this: "WTB: (brief description)"
What to Include in Your Ad: (in this order)
Item Description – You must be forthcoming about your transaction. Tell people if there are imperfections in your item. It will help you, the seller, weed out the serious buyers from the tire kickers. If the stereo only works out of one speaker, say so.
Asking/Offering Price – This is required. A starting point with obo is acceptable. Something so that people know just how “proud” you are of your item.
Contact information – Please make sure you leave instructions on how you prefer to be contacted. PM, email, or phone are acceptable.
Your Location – Hopefully, you know where you are. . Please be considerate and include your location.
Pics - This is required at the time of the listing. If you don’t have pictures of what you’re selling, you might as well not list it here. A cheap digital camera is on every damn cell phone out there, and you can get one for $30 at Wal Mart if you don’t have one on your phone. There is no excuse for this, and there will be no tolerance for a lack of visual confirmation of your sale.

Notes: Proper formatting of your ad is critical.
Ads that do not follow the proper formatting will either be edited by a moderator, or given one day to comply before being deleted.
Responding to Ads:
Please keep your replies relevant to the post. Ask questions regarding the part, acknowledge your interest to buy, etc. You may also want to try and contact the buyer/seller via the email address listed in the ad or by sending them a PM. See further details relating to this under "RESTRICTIONS" below.
Note: The Classified Forums are not 'Discussion' forums.
If someone asks the seller a question, leave the question to be answered by them. Don't meddle in other's business please.
Bumping your Ad:
Please limit your 'to the top' or 'bump' posts to no more than once in a 24-hour period. Just because your ad has fallen off the first page of posts does not mean that no one will see it. This is not a huge national forum. Once per day is ample, if not excessive.
After the Sale:
Once the item is sold, please edit the first post in the thread to read "*SOLD*" (for FS ads) or "*FOUND*" (for WTB Ads) at the beginning of the post. Alternatively, you can delete the first post in the thread, thereby making the entire thread disappear. Our server would appreciate it.
Note: Do not delete the contents of your ad.
That description could come in handy if a buyer was to claim that they did not receive what was advertised. We will keep these ads in a hidden forum in case problems arise after the sale.
Replying to Posts:
Do NOT take the thread off topic.
Do NOT cherry pick (post your own parts for sale in someone else's ad).
Do NOT make harassing comments about quality, seller, other members, etc.
Note: This rule is especially important in regards to the asking price. Obviously if the price is not right, the ad will not receive any interest and will fall to the bottom of the page. If you really want to help, you could PM the person who has listed the ad, but in the end they are free to ask whatever price they choose and harassing them about it (even via PM) will only get you in trouble. That said, there are reasonable limits for asking prices. Please be aware of the market value of an item before listing it for sale.
No Posting or Cross Linking:
Do not post ads or links to ads in any forum outside of the Classifieds. The one exception to this rule is that you may include a link back to your ad in your signature. Keep in mind though, that signatures do have size limits, and those limits are based on the site mod/admin discretion..
Moderation:
We reserve the right to delete any ad, at any time, for any reason. We also reserve the right to remove anyone's access to the Classified forums at any time for not following these rules.
