It all started November of last year, right when Ian was making up the 636 subframes. Some people were asking if he was going to make one for the R6. He said he just needed a mint and straight subframe to make a jig from. So since I had the one on my bike I agreed to send it to him. 4.5 months later I finally got my subframe back after calling them several times to see if they had finished. Said they were almost done but still couldn’t make anymore yet since they had some backordered parts to produce, all while I was very understanding. Got my subframe back and was expecting the new SI subframe, didn\'t come, said they had 636 subframes and a bunch of cages on backorder they still had to build up first before they could start making new r6 subframes. So I was like alright just let me know when you have them ready so I can get one. months go by with a couple calls here and there to check on status but kept getting the run around. They made one of the first ones up and 2007r6s dropped his bike off for a test fit and something about a dual caliper bracket too. They ended up giving him the first subrame (nothing at all against you 07r6s!), then sold a bunch of subframes without ever calling me or anything that they were ready. Finally called them and said I wanted my subframe and they said they completely stopped making subframes all together, said it wasn\'t worth their time to make and sell them anymore but agreed to make one more up for me. 10.5 months after I sent my subrame in I finally got the SI subframe so I ordered a round bar at the same time. Went I tried to put the subrame on, nothing lined up or fit. The mounting tabs were wider so the stock hardware was too short, had to go buy some hardware. front seat tab was too low and the front of the seat bottomed out on the subframe before the tounge on the seat could fit under the tab that holds it in place. the back of the front seat mounts with two bolts, and the holes drilled into the subframe were a 1/4" off and the bolts wouldn\'t reach the holes, and they were supposed to by mounted at an angle but weren\'t. rear seat was loose at the back tounge/tab and the front lock bar wouldn\'t line up on the subframe guide plates and had to be ground down just to fit but still wouldn\'t work. and the battery tray wouldnt reach the rear mounting bolts, and they completely left the front battery tray mount off so there was no way to even hold it in place. then I called Ian directly and after I told him all of this, all he had to say was, "well I don\'t really know what you want me to do about it, you got a $400 subframe, and we stopped making them”Quote:

\nThat was my first and last experience with SI. Wish it wouldn’t have gone sour, but was completely on Ian, I was nothing but understanding and helpful as I could be the entire time. Rant over.\r\n
