how to get started... - Chucklles - 01-30-2008

i want to get started on the stunt scene and picked up a 99 ZX6R to learn on. i got a SI crash cage already and sliders. with money somewhat in mind what are some needed upgrades that i should get first to get started..

you should be all set with just a cage,  you could change the gearing, get a subcage, remove your plastics until your decent enough to not mess them up, handbrake after you learn the footbrake,

dont forget a 12 bar espically when learning wheelies and learning that rear brake hitting it too hard slapping that rear end off would suck

hahaha... yea dont want to snap off the rear end... i thought about getting a 12 bar and changing out the entire brake lines...

plastic is more forgiving than a 12 bar, their not really needed until you can slow your wheelies down, its better to break your plastic than your subframe imo

it helps a lil. you can still do wheelies on stock gearing but if you gear it a lil more it helps bring it up.
