si cage on a 929 - SELDON929RR (SMF) - 09-16-2007 i just got my si cage for the 929 and it came with no instructions. there are 3 different size bolts, a collar and a all thread. I tried to mount it up last night and noticed the all thread that i think goes through the back motor mount is a smaller size. since that seems to be a "load bearing bolt" I don't really want to put on a weaker smaller bolt.. anyone else have this problem. a copy of instructions? anything helps? thanks. Re: si cage on a 929 - Mr. Limpet - 09-16-2007 the all thread they gave me is what i used. I have never heard of anyone swapping it out for a stronger one. Doesnt the bar kind of fit into a notch at that mount? That should take the impact more than the allthread right? Im not sure how different your 929 is from my f4i. Re: si cage on a 929 - SELDON929RR (SMF) - 09-17-2007 I just talked to Ian at si. NIce guy btw. the all thread goes in the back motormount, the 1 1/2" bolt connects the cage together and the long bolt goes on the left side I think. Now I just need a hole saw to drill the fairings.. good looking cage too. not like some of the other flimsy ones. Re: si cage on a 929 - TRICKY (SMF) - 01-01-2008 same on my 954 of course, dont mind about the smaller size of the all thread, it works......its an awesome cage and youll love it! Re: si cage on a 929 - SELDON929RR (SMF) - 01-02-2008 Yeah I love it had it on a while and it's been tested . your bike is sick by the way
