How much would you pay for a wrecked 2015 636? - krayt - 09-22-2015
Ok so to start off ill explain what happened.
Me and my friend were riding back from a car meet, when a jeep cut me off hard with no signal. I braked rather hard and came about 6 inches from their bumper. Him on the other hand, he (I assume given hes only rode for a month now) grabbed a handfull of front brake. When he did i watched him in my mirror, his ass end came up off the ground and it looked as if he panicked and let go of the front brake. when the ass came down he went into a nasty tank slapper, hit a curb his bike rolled off the windscreen and landed on its side.
the bike had purely cosmetic damage besides the right (throttle side) clipon broke off.
the extent of the damage was a small (half of my fist) size dent in the tank, all plastics rashed/cracked, windscreen rashed, exhaust (stock) had minor scuffs, both mirrors broke off, front rim tacod, and a very very small scratch on the crank case, and passenger seat ripped..
To me it looked like i could probably replace everything with OEM for like 3grand but his insurance is totalling it out due to the labor cost killed it.
Now I was planning on buying a 2013-15 636 to fully stunt out but now that he wrecked i may potentially buy his off his insurance company if they allow him to buy it back. Since everything thats damaged, was everything I planned on replacing, it would save me alot of money, then when i get around to buying a steel frame with vin stamp i would have a clean title if im not mistaken.
Now my question is what would you guys think is a fair price to buy this off the insurance company?
