looking for handbrake kit for 50 - Tattooty - 03-16-2014 anyone have something laying around? Just need the cable, and the two pieces that it mounts to on the back of the bike. looking for handbrake kit for 50 - broham - 03-19-2014 use any cable that fits and rig it up looking for handbrake kit for 50 - joevandelden - 03-23-2014 Subbed curious to see what others have used **If one spends all ones time avoiding potentially dangerous situations; one may die with an unblemished body, but also with a head full of regrets** looking for handbrake kit for 50 - CATCH [1\*] WRECK - 04-06-2014 I run a hydraulic MTB disc brake HB w\out a FB. I just bought a 50 with the Reeg Disc Brake Kit. The hayes mechanical caliper was busted; so I upgraded to a Hayes Stroker Ace MTB Hydraulic caliper... HB only. No FB as of yet, but I plan on rigging up a rear master and FB pedal asap. looking for handbrake kit for 50 - loogie - 04-06-2014 www.50stunt.com why rig up janky sloppy homemade setups when you can buy a billet one that actually WORKS. looking for handbrake kit for 50 - CheddarBob - 04-19-2014 i know its only like 35 bucks shipped and the only time i have to fck with it is when i change a tire or tube. plus it supports stunt business's cause if they aren't around then i'll have to make some "janky sloppy homemade setup". looking for handbrake kit for 50 - CATCH [1\*] WRECK - 04-22-2014 If I were to run a drum brake set up... I'd prefer the RSC For the HB and front brake with 50Stunt brake arms and sintered pads. BTW, My disc brake set up is not a "sloppy home made janky set up" if you were referring to my comment. It has all the components of any other disc brake set up; the fact that I have adapters to fit the stock hub is an addition to it that keeps me from having to drop money on rotor style hubs. I have a rear master adapting mount and foot brake on its way from T-Bolt. A Hayes Stroker Ace caliper, Hayes standard 6" rotor, Hayes disc brake kit, Storm disc Brake kit (Hydraulic brakes on BBR SP5's ) Formula FB Master from a KTM which only takes an 8mm banjo and fits MTB brakes nicely. I'm upgrading my bike with some nice parts bud.
looking for handbrake kit for 50 - CheddarBob - 04-24-2014 i was on only referencing those who are still rocking drum brakes like myself, disc brakes would be bad ass though and i get why people make their own shit for that and a lot of times it seems after some trial an error people get some nice setups not knocking DIY guys, but i have no want or desire to do that to my 50 brake pads for 50's are cheap and easy to find. looking for handbrake kit for 50 - cynicalrider - 04-28-2014 Speaking from experience as I have been fucking around with disc hand/footbrake setups for my bike, it sucks and has not been an easy process. I tried to go with the old school gp tech fitting and the shitty chinese master cylinder can't handle the pressure. I plan on going dual caliper and just being done with it. |
