First F4i build - ShakAttack - 02-15-2014 Well I picked up an f4i this week and the tear down began after about 3 seconds of having her off the truck. I have a list of To Do's and a deadline that hopefully has good enough weather to rip her around. The list -Fabrication buddy making -Flat top tank with lip -Tail saver -Seat hole foot plate -Sync TB/clean air mod -RSC Clutch (Ordered) -Sick Innovations (All Ordered) -Cage -12 bar -Subcage -60 tooth rear sprocket/16 tooth front -520 Red Chain (Ordered) -Convertibars Black (I won a set at a raffle a few years back but didn't have a bike they fit. Upon picking up the f4i I gave Steve the owner a call to see if I could still redeem the certificate even though a few years had passed. To my surprise he was a SUPER nice guy and had no problem getting them sent out right away! )-Set of f4i front calipers from a buddies crashed up bumblebee Still need to order -FT Dual 4 piston bracket -Brembo 16x18 -80" line -Cyclops Headlight Picked a 2002 and got it home for a few laps around my underground parking garage, and then the tear down began. ![]() ![]() Got her all tucked away for the night with the other toys ![]() Got a little bathtub bondo action going on. These plastics weren't the greatest so they will see some ghetto rigging and a rattle can paint job till I get a better set. ![]() Seat hole came out clean, I just have to borrow someones sowing maching to get it wrapped. So for now a ducttape job will work for mock up ![]() ![]() ![]()
First F4i build - (Brandon) - 02-16-2014 Duct tape does all!
First F4i build - Hitman 700 - 02-17-2014 I agree with Brandon. Duct tapes the new powder coating.. lol!! First F4i build - (Brandon) - 02-17-2014 I have a friend who just recently "duct tape painted" his entire frame. Hold on I'll grab a picture lmao. First F4i build - (Brandon) - 02-17-2014 Bike is owned by a friend by the name of scott. He just rebuilt it late fall, he crashed real bad last year and broke a leg and a few other things I think. Check out the duct tape paint job though! ![]() https://scontent-b-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/...25790918_n.jpg First F4i build - Hitman 700 - 02-18-2014 my duct tape job.. rattle canned the rims and tank Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk First F4i build - ShakAttack - 02-19-2014 Well I did some work this week end Got the exhaust shortened up ![]() ![]() ![]() Wasnt to hard, I just had some issues getting the cap to find its way on. Nothing a big ol' hammer couldnt handle. Shortened my nose fairing and windscreen. Still not sure if i will go full fairing or not, so I did it anyway. ![]() ![]() ![]() Painted the windscreen ![]() And then I got to painting the rotors ![]() And a few parts made their way to my house
First F4i build - (Brandon) - 02-19-2014 I love short cans. My yoshi RS3 is probably 8 inches long. With soft exhaust packing and a short can it sounds pretty raw. First F4i build - ShakAttack - 02-19-2014 I kept the original packing in there, right wrong or indifferent it'll work. Just ordered up all new fairing bolts as the bike had ALLLLL, and I mean ALLL KINDS of different bolts mounting all of the fairings. Flat head, Philips, torx, some missing...lots missing lol. I also ordered new bolts for the radiator mount. The radiator is just being held on by the hanger and the bottom mount. I don't know how it has even stayed on this long. But she will be all secure and sturdy once I'm done. First F4i build - (Brandon) - 02-21-2014 My F4i's radiator was held on by a zip tie and one bolt for a while before I rebuilt and I never faced a problem. But that was not very smart haha. |
