03 636 - I've joined the darkside - standupnfall - 02-20-2014 No, they would "work" but it would be similar to how HoHey and FTI pads need to be trimmed because the rotor does not touch the whole pad. These zx10r calipers are spaced out further so need the larger 08-10 310mm zx10 Rotors (or 2013 zx6 rotors if those bolt up). 03-2012 zx6R calipers designed for 300mm discs could work on 05-12 forks and these 08-10 zx10r rotors with a 5mm spacer. The disc diameter is 10mm larger so you only need a 5mm spacer since that is how much larger the rotors radius is. Hope this helps ppl who dont already know! 03 636 - I've joined the darkside - burnoutnut - 02-20-2014 yeah i worked that out i jumped on google and found out what size the disc were! any benefits with the zx10r calipers ???
03 636 - I've joined the darkside - standupnfall - 02-20-2014 Got them for basically nothing with the matching zx10r front master and rotors I got off a 1000mile blown motor bike ! 03 636 - I've joined the darkside - Duane S. - 02-21-2014 do the rest of the fairings red bike smooth 03 636 - I've joined the darkside - standupnfall - 02-21-2014 Thanks man, Yeah that is the plan but the OEM red and all the stuff I would need would be like $150. When it get's warm I will pick a red or other color avail from Autozone which will only cost like $50 for primer, 2 cans of color, clear, finishing sandpaper, etc... |
