'05 CBR600RR Changeup Built - Joe Slow - 07-16-2013 Got my bike about a month ago. Brought it off a friend who put a lot of effort into the build himself importing some parts and manufacturing some himself. Specs Sheet: 1. 2005 CBR600RR 2. Dirtbars (Want to change to clipons their my preference) 3. HoHey 4 pot HB big rotor kit with standard FB caliper 4. OMR Subcage folding pegs 5. Custom built cage (Need to add lower support) 6. Custom subframe/12 Bar reinforcement 7. Tank Dent (Not difficult to do just takes a lot of patience) 8. 60T Sprocket 9. Radial Master for HB 10. Braided lines to all calipers except FB 11. Header wrap 12. Stock exhaust (for strong idle and noise levels) 13. Reinforced radiator mounts (Need to look into rad cage) 14. Extra idle cable on the TB's 15. Relocated ignition 16. Blocked a lot of the air intake to try to get rid of twitchy throttle (It really helps) 17. Customized clutch lever for easier pull 18. Cool blue Police type light on front with different flash modes(awesome with burnouts) at night) 19. Two fans on Radiator with one toggle switch and one wired to headlight switch on controls 20. Clean air mod Still needs: 1. Shark fin 2. Tank Lip (open to ideas) 3. New rear footpegs 4. Clip Ons to space the HB and clutch better (or new/better BD's) Started with the following and definitely not an ugly bike as I got it. (I probably made it uglier but more practical for myself) ![]() ![]() ![]() First mod: Stock exhaust(Had to cut the 12 bar cross members out to fit new exhaust)PITA as the sub-frame is slightly bend too from previous incident ![]() Cross section out and stock exhaust installed ![]() Putting in work ![]() Getting to the idle cable(not shown in pic) ![]() Tank dented(should perhaps go a little deeper still) ![]() ![]() ![]() Plastic tank cover dented(Take your time on this, I only had a 1400Watt heatgun )![]() ![]() ![]() DIY Easy pull clutch drilled plus a lot of filling with a little file ![]() 12Bar shortened(2 years since I lasted welded, made a mess FFS, but its strong) ![]() HB Resi relocated(Need a little Hell pot still)Also tilted handles forward, did wonders for my riding! ![]() Ignition relocated(Pulled rubber intake piece out to make room so no melting of plastics when bike is hot) ![]() Doing wheelies(This is a fag drag from 4 weeks back, kicked the habit this past weekend, so pleased with myself!) ![]() ![]() If anyone(Daliks ) have some more input to what I might add or subtract to make the RR ride better feel free to say/recommend!17 July 2013: Removed the crossbar on the handlebars. Hope the bars wont bend from doing stoppies but looks way better and will function a lot better for handlebar tricks.

'05 CBR600RR Changeup Built - big ben - 07-17-2013 sorry, I didn't exactly itemize your lol '05 CBR600RR Changeup Built - Joe Slow - 07-17-2013 Yeah gonna add the clean airmod to the list real quick! '05 CBR600RR Changeup Built - Joe Slow - 07-21-2013 I need some help with my suspension settings. For the RR specifically. Searched some threads so got some good info on rear settings but the front is a problem. The stoppies just dont want to come up quickly. It feels like the front compresses and then all that happens is it brakes really good. Preload is set to around mid setting and rebound also to around mid. All was set to full hard when I got the bike and all I got then was tyre smoke from locking up. Any help would be appreciated. '05 CBR600RR Changeup Built - Backwoods - 08-11-2013 Im having a hard time finding the idle mods and jumper mod for tip over sensor can you help me out on these? '05 CBR600RR Changeup Built - da Liks - 08-12-2013 Hey buddy! my2 cents: make the bike breathe like stock, no taping off holes or anything. get used to riding a bike with more power/torque. its not much, just a bit! it will benefit you! take off the damn 12 bar and scrape exhaust if necessary. less rigid, more forgiving. add a second fan, r6 grey fan offcourse. the lower the temp stays the better the idle and response, especially on the RR. clipons baby!!! asap. and an rsc.. '05 CBR600RR Changeup Built - da Liks - 08-12-2013 change the fluid first, fresh 10 w.. compression pretty soft, rebound pretty hard. preload is ride height.. |
