New best stoppie tire? Bridgestone S20. - mart211 - 05-30-2013

Have been riding with a S20 for a month. I was a huge fan on Pilot Power, cause over here its cold and wet half the time, so good grip in every condition was crucial. I was given that S20 to try it out and see if its good for stunting and it truly is.
At first i didnt trust it, cause i was so used to pilot power. Now i have tried it on a sandy/dusty lot, with hot and cold weather, in rain and on a smooth slippery pavement. I've only got two lock ups and both of them happened cause i tried to pop the rear end up on a bumpy surface and the tire lost contact with the pavement.
S20 is def as good as Pilot Power and probably better too(in my opinion it is already), cause it never locks up on anything(and i've tried hard), if it gets hot its not as sticky and never collects sand on the tire and gets slippery. It is supposed to last twice as long as Pilot Power, cause of the superhyper-nano-technology. One dude here had to test them in the mountains and he rode 9000miles with those tires and they were worn to the wearmark, so thats alot better than any other good sticky tire. That's where the higher price pays off.

Just wanted to let people know that when you're looking for the next tire you can count on and do stoppies....you might want to consider S20. Official info: http://www.bridgestone.com/products/...ttlax/s20.html

I started with 20psi(that's what i used with Pilot Power, cause above that it locked up on shitty lots) and i now run 30psi with S20 and slowly building up and getting used to the higher pressure.

Some small clip of me trying that tire out on wet/cold weather.

I was looking the tire prices in US and saw that Pilot Power is like 120$ and S20 is 102$ on ebay....whaaaat. Thats cheap as shit, over here pilot power is about 120$ and S20 160$. If S20 is cheaper too, than it's totally worth it!!!

i am still searching for a better tire on my sportster, i can only stoppie when the surface is grippy and not to cold.
i always use new pilot powers in the front, but when there is something out there thats better.. i want it. also the pilot is not strong enough for the waight of the harley, i can destroy on in 2 months, and it looks like a dirtbike tire that did a lot on the streets.. with stoppies no longer than 20/30 meters

You might wanna try it out next time. My bike weights 200kg + me with gear 100kg + my gf with gear 70kg and worked great in 15C degree weather on wet surface. Tire pressure 1.8 bars.

I think S20 is almost the same as BT016

It's developed from Bt016 but it feels alot different. I have rode with Bt016 and was far being as good as pilot power.

Nice lil clip but I did see a lil front tire slippage in there LOL
Motorcycle superstore sell the pilots for under 100$ shipped tyd and IMO the Pirelli supercorsa is the only other front that's comparable to the pilot. That s20 is decent but not even in the same category across the board traction wise

Hahaha, yeah that was one of the worst lock ups i have had. Like i said before, that bumpy road caused that. The front end lost contact with pavement.
Thats what i thought about the price, but i still think its worth the extra $ when you ride in the cold/wet and it lasts longer.
About 2 years ago, i only rode Pirelli supercorsa but it only holds in warm weather. When its colder or wet, its slippery, like all softer tires. Thats why S20 seems to be a bit better for us who ride in the cold and wet.

I think any race tire would work well, I used to use slicks all the time.
