Kawasaki stunt er6 - build up ! - Patient-zero - 02-14-2013 Hi guys, Below my new build, a kawasaki Er6 which i bought as a written off accident bike. ![]() ![]() Front end was completely fucked up.. but imo minor damage so let's take it ! Fixed a new front end, a 2012 duke690 fork, rim, brakes etc. ![]() ![]() ![]() Pushing out the ballhead (?) pen, this one needs to go into the KTM yoke. ![]() ![]() The er6's is quite wide, actually u can slide it over the original from the KTM.. so we have to make something up, specialist work that is. ![]() ![]() The rad and exhaust where pretty scratched up as well.. So i had to replace the rad and i welded the exhaust. ![]() putting fork in : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ready for ridin'' ![]() ![]() in the meantime i found some sort of restriction on the gas cable ( dafuq ? ) This bike had a milage of 40.000 km's ( 25.000 miles ) and i could only give like 25% throttle.. omf... ( the small gold looking screw was it ) ![]() Ordered the crash cage out of France, as they are the only ones making stuff for a er6 ![]() ![]() The original springs of a er6 are made for small ladies, not for a 95kg weighing bloke like me.. so we had to change this as well, Hyperpro in Holland fixed me up with this + a steering damper ![]() ![]() ![]() Electrical work, hiding cables and shi.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Done ![]() Next up : the exhaust, it's short and sits right under the engine.. didnt want to mod the rad so i wrapped it. ![]() ![]() ![]() Making a bracket for the steering end + my steering damper ! ![]() ![]() ![]() Got some Alu squares to act like risers to lower the front end just a bit more, as the ktm duke fork is quite long. ![]() After a heavy cursing round having broken off my brakepump.. installed a new one ![]() Bike so far, ashame of the cage though.. but eh.. not visible on the site at first glance. ![]() Ordered some sprockets, 14 in front, 50 in the back.. not to light. ![]() Rsc came in from Josh ![]() Aaaaaand yesterday i re-located the ''fan'' switch ( turning/alarm signals ) and the light switch... a solution for now, as i think i'm just gonne make 2 simple switches and hide them somewhere. ![]() And that is that... just received my license plate for this bike.. so i know i don't have to put it up for technical inspection ( u never know here in belgium ) next up will be chopping the ass, weld a round bar on it and a subcage/steps Kawasaki stunt er6 - build up ! - Duane S. - 02-14-2013 holy shit this is pretty cool Kawasaki stunt er6 - build up ! - Patient-zero - 02-14-2013 thnx Kawasaki stunt er6 - build up ! - M.F. Mall Cop - 02-14-2013 Wait why is the cage all different on each side? They dont have the same mount points? Kawasaki stunt er6 - build up ! - Eerk - 02-14-2013 nice rear sets, first thing i noticed was the stock ones are huge. make sure the pegs dont touch the ground!! are u gonna put passenger pegs on the subframe? Kawasaki stunt er6 - build up ! - Patient-zero - 02-14-2013 yap, the frame is assymetrical... but i didn't knew... didnt look at the frame that closely.. found the cage online and it looked rugged and nice.. but after bolting it on my reaction was ''wait whut'' as well. if it turns out not be that good of a cage, ill chop it up and make one of my own and weld it onto the frame.. that way i CAN make it symmetrical. Btw.. even though the frame is different on each side, they still could have made it on the same level imo. @ eerk, yes.. up next comes the tail section, passenger pegs included. Gonne make it a part of the cage more or less to protect the rear sets... and im looking for foldable pegs.. one which have a folding point on the axle. or i just have to chop it off a bit. Got those rear sets on a trade with a leaking carbon muffler for my 929, lol... it's valmoto.. heard later that shit aint cheap Kawasaki stunt er6 - build up ! - Raider - 02-14-2013 This thing is super cool. I've ripped on one on the street but always wondered what it would be like with some big gearing and a hb. Subscribed!
