Reloading for skeet shooting.. - my750 - 09-19-2012

Just got a 12 gauge and figured out i have a nack for shooting skeet. I go through some serious ammo every week though, just looking for a way to save a little money. Just curious if anyone reloads there own 12 gauge ammo or any size of shotgun ammo? I am completely new to reloading and dont have much of an idea about how its done. Just curious about how much it saves and EXACTLY what components i need to do this other than a reloader.

Ive searched and searched and there are alot of mixed opinions on if it saves you money or you just break even.

ive looked into it numerous times, its seems like the savings are like 10%. You got to think about if your freetime is more valuable than that. Thats the only issue I have had with getting into reloading. I have been using Sgammo.com I think they have the best prices I have found so far.

imo: If you just started skeet shooting give it some more time before you start making your own ammo.
Your interest in shooting skeet MIGHT slow down once you have spent some time doing it.

I doubt it. Im attempting to to join some competitions around my area this fall. If i didnt really like it, i wouldnt have dropped a couple hundo on a gun. Im just looking to maybe save a little money down the road because i know ill be doing this for a long time.

Alot of sportsman clubs have tons of hulls you can have. Normally there good for about 2 reloads depending on your shell make. Speak with field employees or the vets, they know alot about reloading.
