hand brake questions - Tattooty - 08-27-2012 I'm going to get chewed out for this and yes i've used the search button and yes it's all confusing as fuck. But whatever. I've been working on foot brake and now i wanna start with the handbrake. I'm confused as to what to buy. I know i don't want to use the adapter kit. I'm not one to buy shitty parts and work my way up. So someone explain this to me. You buy a hand brake (does it come with the master? or do you buy that separately?), the extended brake line, dual caliper bracket, and obviously the brake calipers ( and what's the difference between single piston, 4 piston, etc?) Just been trying to find a clear explanation. After reading damn near all the threads on HB shit gets mad confusing I'm setting up a 954 if that helps. So if anyone rides one, feel free to explain your setup and what you bought. Thanks. And i'm looking forward to getting yelled at.
hand brake questions - Dr.MotoKawi - 08-27-2012 all the parts are individual unless you buy a "kit" from someone. hit up zuesr6 on here he will set you up with whatever you need. you need a master to use as the hb, a 80" or so brakeline, and a dual caliper bracket which can have 2 piston foot or 4 and typically u want to use a 4 piston caliper for the handbrake. hope that helps. single piston (really a 2 piston) will have less bite then a 4 piston . hand brake questions - Tattooty - 08-27-2012 Thanks. This topic gets confusing pretty quickly. hand brake questions - Dr.MotoKawi - 08-27-2012 Check out StuntBums.com they have a gang of videos on their YouTube channel. hand brake questions - SPADE402 - 09-23-2012 I'm at the same point tattooty stunt bums helped and just you tube has a lot on it. That's my only input. hand brake questions - zeus_r6 - 09-23-2012 Quote:
hand brake questions - Tattooty - 09-24-2012 well i picked up a brembo master from 802bouffard just haven't got around to getting the other stuff. i'm debating between the fti adaptor or just to drop the coin on a dual cal since i'll more than likely stick with stunting. It's about the only thing i have time for anyway aside from work hand brake questions - SPADE402 - 09-24-2012 I'll have to hit up zeus_r6 for a master and line then. I ordered the hohey dual quad caliper big rotor upgrade and bracket and I ordered the calipers too. Just need the 80" and the master. hand brake questions - Graveyard - 09-24-2012 Quote:
