\r\n \r\n hey im having the same problem with mine but iv got a gpr. my front end felt like the bearing was dried and super tight to turn. i took the gpr off and the front end was fine. im told the hydraulic seals in the damper go bad and should be rebuilt once a year. i called gpr and they said they rebuild them for only 25 bucks. try calling scotts maybe they offer a similiar rebuild for cheap.\r\n

\r\nIve replaced the the breakaway pin with a harder steel then orignial part im wondering has it done internal damage instead of just sheering the pin ??????\r\n

the breakaway pin as you name it, was fucked up in 4 months with mine.. also used harded steel and no problems at all.. Quote:

\r\ni would take out the 2 oil plugs underneed, and turn the arm a few times till all the oil comes out, than check how it turns without oil. (must be realy easy)
\r\nthan use new 5w oil. its realy easy..
\r\nwhen it turns with resistance when its oil less, i would open it and check.. the thing works realy simple!\r\n

Need some ideas my scotts steering damper is acting up !
Went to use my bike on Sunday and it felt like the headstock bearings were tweeked (to tight) so taught it must have bein from a crash i had earlyer in the week so striped off top clamp and adjust bearings put it all back together and was still the same turns out its my steering damper !
When on the lowest setting it still feels like theres a lot of restiance !
Anyone any ideas ????????
