01 F4i build - Aaron Venable - 08-12-2026 \r\n \r\n \r\n ugh.. rattle canQuote: \r\n
\n \nI wouldn\'t try and save the factory paint. And there\'s no powder on a f4i, the frame is electrostatically painted as are the forks and wheels, meaning that it\'s extremely thin and the same solvents you\'d use to take off the spraybomb would start working on the factory coating too, leaving it too mangled to do anything with. \n \nMy advice is to wipe the tank with mek or lacquer thinner, scuff the factory clear under, and blast the rest with soda. \n \nif you don\'t feel like media blasting or you just love solvents, get some towels, a five of mek and a respirator. \n \n...and welcome to the f4eazy club\r\n 01 F4i build - FreemanStunts - 08-12-2026 \r\n \r\n That tail looks minty. Enjoy it while you can haha\r\n 01 F4i build - Yamahonda - 08-12-2026 \r\n \r\n Nice\r\n 01 F4i build - SeeBeeAre - 08-12-2026 \r\n \r\n Bike is wrapped up for the time being, not a serious build but enough to get it somewhat stunt worthy. \n ![]() \n ![]() \nnewish tires \nditched the fairings \nhad a cyclops headlight from the old bike \nbike came with a -1/+2 sprocket setup i put on \nsome rattle canning \nsick cage \nton of maintenance work \n \nNow I just need to find some new spots to ride!\r\n 01 F4i build - SeeBeeAre - 07-19-2012 Sold my 07 600RR yesterday and picked this up today!! Needs a new battery and alot of cleanup. Gonna slap a Sick cage on it and maybe some gearing just for starting out. Gonna break it down this weekend and really get into it. Bike is ugly as all hell lol. The previous owner spray painted the frame/subframe/forks/swingarm a nasty red/orange color. Whats a good paint stripper to get it off that wont mess up the factory powdercoat?
