what sprocket should i run on a drz400sm - zxstunter - 05-23-2012
I have a DRZ400sm and i want to do some street wheelies but circles and other stuff to if my top speed is 60 that fine its a stock 15-41 right now what should i go with if im looking to stunt no all parking lot stuff but sometimes and some nice 3rd 4th 5th gear straight stuff

I ran 65 tooth rear and either 13 or 14 front. For the lot. Very strong pull never dies. Get a righteous clutch and for the streets i ran 51tooth rear in roc and killed it but wish i had lil less on it lol.. Honestly i would run stock rear and 13 front for the streets and just slap the 65 on for the lot. Just leave front at 13 and u got simple swap out just add a lil piece of chain and a master link. I used to ride to tge lot and chande out sprocket real quick at the lot then ride home....
Another guy here in kc runs 55 tooth rear and 15 stock in front n he kills it. The drz is a big 50...

I run 15 front and 55 rear on my 400, prolly switch back to 13 front tho, only ride lots really, 15 55 seems good all around gearing tho imo

I'm gonna try just do 13/41 lol so 47total. I learned o's on 15/51 so 47 hopefully not too bad we will see soon enough. Lil clutch slippage n all should b fine .... Seat time !!!!!

Just go down one in the front. Thats what I had, I killed the street and still did circles.

once you learn circles with higher gearing then go back to a better street setup youll have no issues doing circles still. i ran +8 on my wr250x with a stock front and even -1+7 for a while. now im back to +7 rear and +1 front and kill it in the lot and streets are much better. surprisingly its smoother in the lot after you gear back down for streets. after youve learned you should be good

Im 13/41 now (-2)front stock rear now n staying that way... Streets r insaine and lot is still fun enough to not get bored...

I run 14-50 for everything.
For the street I'd probably go back to 15front which I had a few years back when I first started gearing it. Get a nice one/two-finger clutch lever so you can practice som clutch control instead =P
