most seem to hate f4is these days, but i loved mine...look at the avatar to see where the start was, and here's the finished product. my 2011 TANK. steel subframe handbuilt by me, same with all the paint work. TOP NOTCH fully setup.
time for something lighter, more powerful and better handling. so, i ran into the guy who originally swapped a decent truck and his f4i for this...
i bought it with a clean TX title for a few bills, and was flipped end over end and trashed, but this was the finished product after a year of my slow tickering....and i end up with it again on a swap deal.
wasn't sure if i would like an 03 600rr since i heard nothing but horror stories and had zero time on it.
so here the parts accumulated so far...
FTI 4 piston adapter for HB with F4i caliper
hohey dual single caliper bracket (this will be a BR kit very soon once i get it on the way and will go on my 06 swingarm)
brembo RCS 15mm (surgically precise, compared to my old 16x18 which was great)
woodcraft clipons with 1.5" rise for FF madness.
i have a 62t on the rear for now, but will go smaller for some street/lot
RSC long lever with bushing
brembo mini reservoirs
sub cage looked like an OMR and was listed for an 05, but i fabbed it to fit how i wanted (cut, chop, fit, weld)
impaktech cage if the dooby would ever get it here
seats are being upholstered/embroidered as we speak by a local guy
scotts damper bought used and sent off to be serviced
1000rr throttle housing/kill switch
parts i still need...
woodcraft rearsets
ESD stunt pegs or impaktech subcage, undecided so far
5th gear custom sprocket
hohey BR kit without star rotor
galfer custom rotor
parts left to build...

here's the new colors that i am unsure about liking. custom mixed by me dupont paint, not house of kolor outta the can like last time.
...and you can see my homemade ugly aluminum reinforcement for the radiator since no one makes a cage for em.
also has dual r6 fans installed, watter wetter, and soon to be header wrapped for COOLNESS in the TX heat
runs no hotter than 210 with a 90 deg day doing 2mph lot lizard crap.1000rr rotors, with adapters as you can see.

here's the second color i am unsure of, but i really need to get away from blues and shades of silver LOL...
had to test it on the r/c car.
wait till you see what i do with the purple...it will be loud, and hopefully not a 2-tone FAIL

now, here's one of the many problems with the 600rr...the tank is metal with a plastic cover
here's my start at assessing the situation...

BTW, the riding position is too far back, low, and no lip.
answer: fiberglass
i layered over foil so it wouldn't stick. then, got some structure going, and
built it up. i used an old waterhose and tape to hold it in place and buried it with resin and mat. this is so far, and far from over....stay tuned.

stoppies, drifts, and overall handling is killer. feels pretty light, but my last f4i was built like the sherman tank of f4is.
i don't think jblox could've killed it unless he yardsaled it from the top of a biulding.
