Well, noob to stunting anyway. I haven't really had too much time to practice in the lot just yet.
I'm involved with a local sport bike group in the area, no one is interested in stunting so... it's just me.
I got into this WAY f'ing late last season and late in life compared to most, and I'm a way better wrench than I am a stunter. haha. But I'm always around to help.
So, sitting at lunch with some people from the sport bike group.
"hey what we gonna do, where we going?"
me: "I'm gonna go find a lot and fall down etc..."
group: "well ok... we'll come watch blah blah"
Get to the lot, well... I suck, I'm not fun to watch, I'm getting no encouragement, just stared at and it just simply sucks. I feel like I'm being silently judged... Should have just went by myself.
Plus... I had all damn winter to make my shit bag bike all perfect and i've decided I should NOT be riding a full fairing bike this early so I'm being overly cautious trying to not fuck up my new to me, mintyish bike that i've spent all winter rebuilding out of boredom, also... thanks everyone in the classified section for being bad asses!
(I now have it gutted back to basically a frame and motor now)
So, I get home... tell my GF about the ordeal. She apologizes for comming home early, (she also rides) and says... "So, teach me how to do wheelies?" HOLY SHIT!? fuck, I can hardly do wheelies myself, but god damn right... we'll fucking learn together. Awesome... also, we're old as f'ing dirt... so... yay. I can hardly wait! Wish we had more practice time...
So, struggling chasing balance point... but mostly falling over sideways trying to find it going slow and from a stop. uggggg. We should hopefully have embarassing video soon enough.

Word. Keep at it man. You'll get it eventually. They're people in this forum who would actually help you and give you and your gf good advices. Then there are those who forgot how we all started out and act like they came out their mother's stank pussy doing a wheelie. Acting all high and mighty when at the end of the day it's ONLY a WHEELIE. Smh

Keep at it, you will get it. A lot of ppl when they are brand new lower the pressure in the rear tire to help maintain a straight line. Its a bad habbit that will have to be broken at some point.

Chill out on this guy....he obviously likes the sport and is looking for some support....Cool cool....when I first started I was the only one in my area...the only real help I got was either from this forum or through a few text from people I got in contact with from here....just go to the lot...wear your gear...and practice over and over...watch some stuntbums videos. Keep us posted on your progress and ignore all tthe hate it will go away as you get better....let your riding speak for you.

im also just starting man, cant hold an idle wheelie yet. must of looped or lost the bike over 100 of times. it does get frustrating but its not easy. just do you, who cares if u drop the bike, hit the pavement, whatever. as long as you have the mindstate that you want to get it, you will. as for the sideliners, fuck them, lol. its you on the bike, not them
