\r\n \r\n Is the fuel pump turning on when you turn the key to on?
\nEither way you prolly have a wiring issue. Check the ECU and see if any wires were pulled out during the process of removing your tank.\r\n

I bought an 01 f4i that was a little beat up when i bought it. i took the tank off and a couple stunt parts and painted them. the bike ran fine before i took the parts off. i put the tank and stuff back on and it will turn over but wont start. i filled the tank half way up just incase i have to take it off again so it has gas. the fuel pump is plugged in and so are both lines leading to the tank.

\n Any info is appreciated

did disconnect the fuel line? if so, try covering up the airbox holes and crank it over that way. if it doesn\'t start within 5 seconds or so, turn the ignition back off and on and try it again(all the time covering the holes). youre creating a vaccum to draw fuel through the line. worked on mine.\r\n

\r\n \r\n Check your tip-over sensor...or either re-wire it so that your tip over sensor is disabled. I know I had a problem with mine on my bike and it was a bitch and never let my fuel pump prime or turn on because of it.\r\n

\r\n \r\n did you reconnect the fuel pump. Very small connector that runs from fuel pump to the left side of the frame area. I believe the connector is like a brown color.\r\n

If the fuel pump isn\'t priming thats not gonna help here imo. I would check to see if your getting power to the fuel pump. Simple test light should tell you that. If your getting power to it and its not priming the pump is bad. If the pump is not getting power than something is not connected and the ecu is stopping from sending power to the pump. I would start there then figure out what you didn\'t connect.\r\n

\r\n \r\n i just had this problem with mine, as many of us now here a no prime issue with the f4i can mean many things
\n
\n- the diode in the ignition went bad, try another ignition or wire it to a switch (very simple) costs 5 dollars
\n-tip over sensor on the headlight harness
\n-kickstand switch
\n-clutch sensor
\n- relays located on tail laight harness
\n
\ni had checked all these with no luck untill i pulled my harness and all the tape off it, their is a yellow little block in their that all the grounds lead to under the tape near the front of the bike on the main wire harness, somehow this had gotten fried, switched harness\'es and the fuel pump primed right up. however after i switched harness\'es my bike decided it didnt wanna turn over anymore so i have currently been push starting it cause i cant figure out why it would crank when i hit the strater, i think its the selenoid though\r\n
