F4i wnb stunter -build - Petomaani - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n Then I thought to try repairing the tank, because there was nothing to lose on it: \n \n ![]() \n \n ![]() \n \n ![]() \n \n ![]() \n \nMy friend weld the bottom piece back together with TIG. Tank keeps the fluids inside and looks nice - suits for me. \n \nI\'m denting the tank when my tricks develops on that level where the dent is really needed.\r\n F4i wnb stunter -build - Petomaani - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n I\'m still missing the frame\'s inspection document for re-registration (the frame was measured and straight, but the document is missing). Bike is technically ready for re-registration (note those 900rr\'s mirrors and rear left turn signal ):\n \n ![]() \n \n ![]() \n \n ![]() \n \n ![]() \n \n \nWhat I\'ve done so far: \n \n- all plastics welded \n- tank repaired \n- undertray + plate holder fixed \n- kleen air mod \n- tip sensor eliminator -mod \n- lights/mirrors/signals fixed \n \n \nThings I\'m about to do after registration: \n \n- DIY-crash cage \n- DIY-subcage \n- 1st gen R6 tail \n- slip-on \n- MSR stunt clutch \n- clutch arm mod \n- roundbar/tail saver \n- 3D adjustable clipons \n- Derbi Senda\'s MX mask \n- 55t sprocket \n- hole in the seat \n- shark fin \n- Renthal grips \n \n- 1st gen R6 front fender? \n- DIY bellypan? \n- braided lines to front? \n \nMore to come...\r\n F4i wnb stunter -build - Joe Slow - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n Yo dude thats insane how you got that tank fixed! Seems really good now! Good luck with your build and DIY all the way! Respect!! Build my own cage too and its holding up great! \n \nWill be popping in here often!\r\n F4i wnb stunter -build - C's 636 - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n insane on the tank job, looks amazing, keep the pics coming, look forward to see more of your build!\r\n F4i wnb stunter -build - da Liks - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n dont do the r6 tail, please.. keep it like this, keep the stock subframe.. you will fuck it up!!!\r\n F4i wnb stunter -build - Petomaani - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n Thanks for the positive feedback! Tank came up much better as I expected ![]() \n \n \r\n Yeah, I know it\'ll break... My plan was to use that original subframe (strong & light weight) and weld/bolt all mounts on it. Just can\'t stand that original nana seat...Quote: \r\n
\n \nI\'ve made a 600rr tail conversion for my earlier bike (900rr) and had to fabricate the whole subframe out of nothing (there was plenty of things I learned not to do ):\n \n ![]() \n \n...but making the whole subframe out of steel makes it so bulky that I\'ll try to use that original F4i subframe as I said. I\'ll keep that DIY-steelsub as a second option in this project. \n \nYesterday gave me some good news: the guy who measured my frame for registry inspection has finally sent the documents by mail on monday -> I should receive the papers today and will register the bike asap! \n \nTips and feedback are allways welcome!\r\n F4i wnb stunter -build - Petomaani - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n Finally got frame\'s measurement document yesterday and bike\'s registry inspection was at this morning. There was nothing to comment and I got titles! \n \nNow the actual stunt build may begin!!\r\n F4i wnb stunter -build - Joe Slow - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n Do IT! Do your own thing man. If you want to put a R6 tail on its your bike so you can do whatever you want! That 900 with the tail looks awesome IMO!\r\n F4i wnb stunter -build - BLEED - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n Crazy job on the tank good shit. Clean looking bike and yea do what you want to your bike\r\n F4i wnb stunter -build - Graveyard - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n Very nice job on the tank, i was gonna say it will be difficult to get a good dent with a repaired tank but something tells me you\'ll have it under control!\r\n |
