Just got myself a 04 636 clean title with 4000 miles from my boss for 1500 bucks
i already got a cage for it
any tips on where to start and what the best parts too get for this for it to be setup pretty decently?
i just got rid of my f4i and this is my first kawi, so let me know
this thing is completely stock besides the cage, lol even has the mirrors on it

Any round bar, adjustable clipons, any hb bracket that makes you feel froggy (do yourself a favor and ditch the Kawi fb), Magura master (I like 13mm but a lot of people go 16mm because they don't like the soft lever), ditch that front end, andsubcage of your choosing. Other than that it's optional stuff like upper stays, aftermarket rearsets, etc.....

+1 set it up just like any other stuntbike, and choose what companies you like best and what money allows......everyone has different opinions on "best parts" so just go with what you like and what feels best

get that stock frame braced up proper. or, go with a steel half or full frame.

Any 05-08 kawi front end will work. You will need the forks, rotors, fender, calipers. Just use your 03-04 triples and slide your new forks into those triples.

I keep hearing all this talk of the Honda footbrake calipers... are they really that much better?? Im lost on this topic..

They are 1000x better. The Kawi one has very little feel to me and even less power. The Honda one is way easier to modulate and have a lot better overall feel. I also felt like the Kawi one faded badly when I used it a lot. When I went from my f4I to my Kawi my sitdown game went to hell which is not OK because sitdown tricks are my favorite. I kid you not the first session having the Honda fb on the Kawi I got sitdown coasters back like I never stopped doin them.
