16X18 Brembo HB crash question - hoffmanxtreme - 11-08-2011 2 months ago I had a light crash which did something to my brake. . . The lever had a slight "sag"(hanging down slightly more than normal) and I've been using a rubber band to hold it up into position correctly ever since. I figured its time to fix it but Im not sure if I need an official rebuild or if this is actually all I need to fix it: ![]() Sounds like my rod may be bent and that is whats causing the sag? My brake feel has also been acting a little weird/inconsistant lately but maybe thats just bleeding issues. . .
16X18 Brembo HB crash question - mattducati08 - 11-09-2011 i just used the same rebuild kit but when i took my piston out to inspect the seals i noticed a small tear in the return seal..somehow my dad actually had a seal for it in a pile of parts..doesnt sag anymore but the sag can also be contributed to the hinge pin for the lever..try some teflon tape (plumbers tape) around the hinge and as well as around the barrel that the shaft threads into..some of that slop could have come from worn threads on the ajuster |
