So to put hand guards on the wr250x or not to? If so what kind and why?

I would, i actually think they look nice on MX style bikes. And it saves u a shit load on levers! Especially if u stunting or riding MX/SuperMoto. I would get the ones that bolt onto your handlebars near the center and go around into the hole on the side of your handlebars, those are the strongest (The same as the ones on my avatar)

They keep the wind off your hands on those colder days too.

Good looks on the info, I was thinking for sure to put a pair on just was not sure what was good, did not really want to replace expensive levers all the time not that the bike drops much, some day its bound to happen tho!!

you'll start droppin it a few times a day once your heavy into doin Os and lot stuff, i rarely put mine down but even my cheap ass acerbis handgaurds have saved my levers numerous times. lookup a price on a lever kit for that magura and you'll instantly buy handgaurds to pretect it. id rather replace a set of handgaurds once or twice a year than replace my levers and have a days riding ended early because of it. its a no brainer really

i set up my bike in the begining with everything on it... pegs gaurds ect. but after dropping it 100 times a day trying to just learn o's and stoppies and everything else i say no to anything but a small cage i built around motor...my two cents is to try to not drop the bike lol or wait to put on all that cool looking stuff till after.... and get a righteous!!!!!

once you learn you wont need to use the protective stuff as much but its always a smart idea to have it at the beginning because of the amount that you will drop it. i remember someone replacing multiple engine cases lol. ive never broke anything on my bike from dropping it except to rash up my handgaurds a bit.
