Carb bikes - thumperslaw - 03-18-2011 I no F.I bikes are better for stunting but at the moment i am stuck with a gsxr 750 with carbs. Is there any thing that can be done to help fuel the carbs when at 12 o'clock? also oil is it worth over filling alittle on them? Carb bikes - bombsquad - 03-18-2011 Carbs arnt that bad to ride with man, way more forgiving than FI and the european guys freakin kill it on carb'd f2s n 3s. You can wind the float level down to stop he flooding but obviously this will lean it out at higher rpm so its a bit of a catch 22. I never did anything to my f2 and it never had any major issues, it shouldnt foul at bp and just try keep the revs a lil higher when right back scraping and you should be ok from my experiance. Anyone else can feel free to correct me though Carb bikes - Bortner - 03-19-2011 selll it and buy an f4i haha Carb bikes - cdavismoto - 03-19-2011 I ride an f4 and exactly how it is for me, I can stall off the back and keep it at bp without it flooding out, only time I notice it start choking up is doing stoppies
Carb bikes - chino12 - 03-19-2011 i also had an f4 which was running like shit, i didnt have fairings so it was sucking too much air, tried to power tape the airbox a bit, didnt help ... when i was doing some stoppies the engine was getting shut off, it was hard to wheelie from slow speeds as it was choking switched to injection and caught idle in a few days ![]() but i do have a buddy with a 900rr and that bike is running sweet Carb bikes - MVSBrendon - 03-20-2011 FI is not a must for a stunt bike. I ran a 99 R1 and a 98 900RR before going to a 636. Only time they would shut off is when I was on the bar and NOT on the gas. I could do 2nd gear scrapes for the whole lot (about 800ft) and the 900 would pull fine. Not sure if there is an oil pick up issue with that year gixxer... I used to run my oil to the top of the oil window on both the older bikes. Not so much with the 636 (i don't run the clean air mod). Carb bikes - thumperslaw - 03-22-2011 Cheers guys for the info, I am thinking of getting a cbr600f 2002 F.I Still getting the basic stuff down first like getting to the bp and stuff. For some reson i keep running out of rev before hitting the bp (this is down to me not the bike) Carb bikes - MVSBrendon - 03-22-2011 Keep us posted, we'll see if we can help... try this thread for some more info. http://stuntride.com/vbstunt/showthread.php?t=14640 Carb bikes - thumperslaw - 03-25-2011 Will do and thanks.
