whats the differences between the 2? im sure the stabilizer will actually work i little better and that they are usually adjusable, but is it really worth that much more money for 1?

exactly. the only thing u might be thinking of is the older hydrolic type cylider ones that bolted to the side of the fork. but those were also adjustable. and yes they are worth the money, if you have ever suffered a tank slapper (head shake) then it makes more sense

As stated above it's just two names for the same thing.

There are two styles however: rotary (GPR, Scotts, etc) and linear / piston (Ohlins, Hyperpro, etc).

Both work well and will help prevent tank slappers. It is said that the rotary work a little better in a turn and linear a little better going straight.

Real stoppie killers tend to prefer linear piston style as they say there can be a little bit of play in some rotary types.

Linear piston type are more likely to get damaged in a crash.

man i still have this fricken mint toby dampner my buddy gave me off his 900rr when he totalled it. i rode his bike and loved the dampner and he gave it to me. lol
its been sitting on the shelf for years cause i cant figure out a way to fab a bracket and you cant buy them anymore. everybody says "oh just order a bracket"
