crf50 wiring issue - 32ndKnockout - 02-12-2011

Tried searching and couldn't find anything, so here goes.

I'm working on my buddy's fiddy and having some trouble with figuring out which wires to hook up in one spot, here's the situation.

He put a larger stator on it in the past in effort to one day make it street legal. Those dreams have long since died and now I'm left with a bike that instead of having two wires protruding from it, has 5. The wires are as follows:

Black/red (female, I know where that one goes)
Green (male)
Yellow (male)
White (female)
Blue/White (female)

Normally the wires are black/red and blue/yellow.

I'm not sure what the stator came off of, but both the yellow and green wires both seem to be putting out current when I kick over the engine.

My question is, "Does anybody know which wire should be hooked up to the stock blue/yellow wire that goes to the CDI.

Here's some pics of what I'm talking about...

Also, I'll see if I can find out what kind of bike the new stator came off of. Thanks guys.

no luck finding out what bike the stator came off of, but it says "mitsuba gf-4" on the wheel. I've searched the internet top to bottom trying to figure out how to wire this shit and have had no luck. if anybody has input as to how this shit should be wired, i'd gladly take the input.

also, hooked the yellow to the blue/yellow and grounded the green and the bike will fire 1 or 2 times every time you kick it over, but won't sustain itself. it won't actually run. though it does seem to try and run better with the choke off, so i'm thinking it may also be jetted pretty lean. just a thought though.

The yellow wire is for the lights , so you don't need that one . Tape it up really good so it doesn't short itself .

The white is for charging a battery , so you don't need that . Tape it up really good .

Blk/red to blk/red

Green to Green

Blue/white to blue/yellow
