But the dreams are what get ya. Can never escape them. Ptsd? - DOKE - 03-28-2011 I appreciate the sacrifices that servicemen and women have made for us. Thank you. Ptsd? - -Kyle- - 03-28-2011 i had a suuuper hard time right when i got back. i had only every been in 3 fights my whole life but when i moved to San Diego after i got out i went on a drunk brawling spree. took over a year for me to pull it together. Ptsd? - *Gswitch33 - 03-29-2011 Yeah it took about a year for me also. But when you I go to sleep its a whole different story. Anyone else have that problem? .. every things fine during the day then when you go to sleep its all sorts of fucked up? Ptsd? - -Kyle- - 03-29-2011 i did have that problem for a while, Cpl. Edgin got shot in the Trake right in front of me and i was having really intense dreams about my squad leader getting killed for some reason. he's alive and kickin and is actually the NCOIC of the warrior transistion center at Ft. Hood for returning and ACAP'ing soldiers. Ptsd? - J crash - 03-29-2011 I am afraid of the dark now been back since 08. Can't sleep in it intense anxiety and paranoia. Only time I can sleep in the dark is when I have an overnight drill. I guess it'd just The thought knowing my battle is next to me. Ptsd? - -Kyle- - 03-29-2011 i pretty much just told myself to pull it the fuck together. i kept my face in the bottle for 3 months straight, go to bed hammered, wake up do it all over again. i've got an awesome job now, workin and livin in PA. never in a million years would i ever have considered living here but it's been a blessing in disguise. sometimes you have to separate yourself from the situation (war) to get a full grasp on reality then come to terms with it...... workin for me so far lol Ptsd? - *Gswitch33 - 03-29-2011 I kinda faced the same reality... Either you can pull it together, or you can be a complete nut case that no ones gonna wanna be around. Takes time and effort but its a hell of alot better than being paranoid all the time and scaring family and friends away. Ptsd? - Will215 - 03-30-2011 Ive got mine under control pretty good, but i do find that i snap easily at almost anything anymore... |
