'06 cbr1000rr stunt build - OCvsDarkness - 12-14-2010
I wanted to give an update to what i'm stunting on and the parts i've ordered so far. It's a '06 cbr1000rr. I'm aware that this is not a recommended stunt bike and thats it gonna be even harder to learn on but it's what i have so i have to make due until further notice.
I've ordered a tygershark cage because I heard they were beast.
Got new chain and sprocket from thrust, went 15/50 so if gearingcommander.com is on the money I can still jump on the expressway and have some fun.
I ordered a racing 905 12 bar to mentally get me over the fear of busting my tail wide open. Racing 905 were the only company I saw that offered it for my model, many thanks!.
I'm gonna have a subcage constructed to fit the bike since I couldn't find anyone who offered it.
Last but not least, I ordered a RSC. Come to find out my bike has an hydralic clutch so it's a no-go, I sure wish I were paying more attention. Righteous 1 is so cool that he even offered to refund me because of my screw-up...
+1 to you righteous, but ima hold on to it as a momento! so at least when someone ask...I can at least say I have one, so back off! 
What do you guys think so far? am I missing anything besides clip-ons and rear handbrake? I'm iffy on the clip-ons because I don't know what esle it would force me to buy to convert my bars and stuff...and not sure which brands to go with for clip-ons and handbrake...

You could save some coin and buy the clutch conversion for it? but for the money you could almost buy another bike lol but its out there, durbahn is nuts but awesome

clip ons wont really take anything extra after the initial purchase of them. You have to determine rise if any that you want. abou the only thing is Some of the clip on require you to trim your upper, thats about it.

flip/switch them stock clipons on top,trim your upper a bit,and get a 4 piston HB with a magura 13mm master and go do whoolies

i'd love to see this! but please keep it pretty, ergo: no big flat bar, no bulky cage, no db bars etc!!

better yet why dont you just start riding it the way it is and let your riding tell you what you need..You would be amazed of all the things you could to on a mostly stock bike..bike set up is mostly personal preference and what one says best isnt the best for everyone. There is no reason to be waiting for this properly set up bike to ride when you can be riding and killing it on a stocker meanwhile
You have a great point tho, heck I tried to learn deadstop wheelies with stock gearing but I swear when I rev'ed at the lot, EVERYONE would turn their heads my way waiting for the loop! lol
I would love to keep everything stock on the bike and stunt on her but after kissing my windshield on a flip, I came to the conclusion that some mods would need to be done.
I REALLY appreciate the feedback from everyone too!
