So this past weekend, I had the oppertunity to go and do a safety rodeo for the Dunnellon PD. I talked to the kids about safety and bicycle laws that they would need to follow or else they would end up like me (a jail bird). I told them about my past and how i have used my skills to beable to help others . Also i told them how officers go through the same type of training that they were doing earlier with having to use cones to do differant types of maneuvars. DUNNELLON POLICE DEPARTMENT HOSTED THE THIRD ANNUAL BIKE RODEO ON SATURDAY NOVEMBER 20TH -
IT STARTED OUT WITH OFFICER MILEY LEADING THE WAY, EVERYONE WAS ASSIGNED TO THEIR STATIONS AND THE FUN BEGAN - EVERY CHILD CHECKED IN AT THE REGISTRATION BOOTH AND THEIR NAMES WERE PLACED IN A DRAWING TO WIN SOME REALLY NICE PRIZES.
YOU COULD FEEL THE EXCITMENT OF EVERY CHILD AS THEY HURRIED TO GET FITTED FOR THIER VERY OWN HELMET, THEN THEY WERE OFF TO DECORATE THEIR HELMETS AND BIKES WITH STREAMERS, STICKERS OR WHAT EVER THEY WANTED FROM THE CREATION BOOTH. THEY PICKED OUT A BICYCLE TO RIDE, LEARNED SOME SAFTEY TIPS, AND WERE OFF TO THE OBSTICLE COURSE.
EACH CHILD WAS INSTRUCTED ON PROPER USE OF HAND SIGNALS, HOW TO BALANCE, TURN AND STEER ON THEIR BIKES.
OFFICERS, FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNELL AND VOLUNTEERS ASSISTED EACH CHILD TO INSURE THIER SAFETY WHILE AT THE EVENT, PARENTS COULD RELAX AND WATCH THIER CHILDREN ENJOY THE FUN.
SMOKEY THE BEAR AND EDDIE THE EAGLE GAVE PLENTY OF HUGS AND THUMBS UP FOR CHILDREN OF ALL AGES.
JOEL HICKMAN MOTORCYCLE STUNT RIDER THRILLED THE CROWD WITH WHEELIES, STOPPIES, GHOST RIDING AND SO MUCH MORE, THE CROWD WENT WILD AS HE TEMPTED THE THRILL SEEKER IN EVERY EYE WATCHING.
REGAS WOODS BETTER KNOWN AS "LEGZ" OF THE NEVER SAY NEVER FOUNDATION ALSO THRILLED THE ONLOOKERS WITH HIS STUNNING MANUVERS AS HE RODE HIS ATV IN A FULL STAND WHEELIE ONLY TO DO A BACKFLIP OFF THE ATV AND LEAVING THE CROWD IN AWE.
THE DUO'S FINALE WAS BREATH TAKING CLOSE DONUT CUTTING SPINS - GIVING EACH OTHER HIGH FIVES AS THEY SMOKED THE TIRES.

These were the bikes that were being raffled off through the day
Smokey the bear was there
And sparkey the fire dog
Eddie the NRA eagle, and i did burnouts around him
And for once, I am puttin my hands near a officer without being arrested
Later that night.We went to Daytona, I was transformed into Foxy the Mascot . He is the Mascot for the NXBL. We hit the streets looking for areas to have a wonderful photo shoot
and then we got to run the bases with all the kids there

Awesome, Joel! It looks like you had a busy weekend. Was the motorcross national ridiculous? I would love to watch a national live.
