Social/Economic experiment - Paul Pederson - 06-05-2010 I think it would be very interesting to split the U.S. into 2 separate countries, One side right wing conservative republicans, the other side left wing liberal democrats, give it 50 years and let both sides practice their own type of Government, the right: freemarket principles, no entitlement programs and tightly controled immigration. The left: open boarders, "Living document" type constitution, European socialist type economic system, ie high taxes and so on. Then after 50 years see which side has a higher standard of living, and an overall better country. I would really like to see that happen. I know it never will, but just saying............ Social/Economic experiment - WheelzUp - 06-05-2010 i can tell ya the end result.....the liberal side has high inflation rates because they would print a shitload of money....everyone with money would go to republican side so they didn't have to share the money they made by busting there asses to invent something or do something better......and the liberal side would be at a technological stand still for the simple fact of why bust your ass work hard and make money when you get burdened by a higher tax bracket and actually end up making less after getting a raise. and so everyone knows no i don't have any money, and i don't think anyone should have to share their wealth....every man for himself..if you want to be successful then work hard.....thats just my 2 cents Social/Economic experiment - Paul Pederson - 06-05-2010 ^^^^^couldn't agree more^^^^^^^ You should go read the book "Atlas Shrugged" by Ann Rand. It was written in the 1930s, its pretty much about what happens when the producers stop producing, (the 10% stops supporting the 90%) also, go get "Brave New World", both are very good books, Atlas Shrugged is pretty long, about 1000 pages, but well worth it, (I yardsaled my bike a while ago and havent been able to ride for awhile, but I did get a PERFECT subframe for $5, and have had alot of time on my hands so far this summer) Social/Economic experiment - WheelzUp - 06-05-2010 Quote:
Social/Economic experiment - StrictlyStunt - 06-05-2010 the 2 sides would go to war and kill each other... Social/Economic experiment - Paul Pederson - 06-05-2010 well.......The right believes in strong national defence, while the left thinks military is bad so............
