I have a couple of older 905 cages on my 03-04 636\'s. They\'re in pretty good shape, but they\'re the older style without the frame slider insert. I need to cut out the top mount tubing (one that goes through the engine mount) and weld in a thicker tube for the inserts. Does anyone know if 905 uses 1 1/2 or 1 1/4 DOM tubing?

\nThanks in advance

its probably 1 1/4 or smaller and i dont think its dom eather. its problay standard 1 /1/4 steel pipe you can get it at any hardware store. the best part is if you use 1 1/4 you can just by my or FI sliders and they fit right in. Or hit up mcmastercarr and get a stick of delrin and make a bunch of your own for cheep if you have some one with a lathe O and remember if you measure 1 1/4 pipe the inside diameter is actually 1 3/8 just so there is no confusion\r\n

I just got a length of 1 1/4 DOM chromoly tubing from a friends chopper shop the ID is a hair over 1" I think it\'s 1.0010. I think it\'s .120 wall 1 1/4 DOM Chromoly... Definitely beefy enough for my build. So if anyone can turn some sliders for me that would be .
\n
\nI would spin up a set of my own but I don\'t have a lathe........\r\n

yeah, they\'d have to be spot on 1" the ID is 1.0010, so even a little shy of 1" would work, I am planning on through bolting them.\r\n
