Ive read all kinds of post on clutching wheelies and have tried a everything to a T. I have -1 +2 on my f4i and whenever I try to clutch sit downs it only pops up about a foot, thats dumping clutch at 10,000 RPMs. this is what Ive come up with as possible answers to my problem,
1) Im just doing something wrong,
2)my clutch is crap,
3)bike not geared enough
4) too fat for bike, need one with more torque (I weight 230 lbs)
5) chain has a lot of slop in it (chain is streched and pinches when tightened to right amount of play)
Any HELPFUL advise would be appreciated

Im not on the tank, im sitting all the way back in the seat, do I need more rpms? Im doing this at 15-20 mph. maybe it is a combo of some of the things I mentioned. I would try this on my buddies 929 tonight but it is cold as hell here

check the free play in the clutch cable if you dont know how to do it best bet is do DL the shop manual for your bike.

my clutch went out on the dyno..... i was sad. they said if i did one more pull i wouldnt make it home

I don't know you or what your acctually doing but I would guess your letting off the gas some as soon as you drop the clutch and so your not getting the power you would if u kept it steady at 10000 rpm.
And its not the wieght cause I'm 225

thanks snipes, I think that is probabley the case. should I be able to clutch this okay with only -1 +2 gearing or do I need more? I really dont want to go any higher than -1 +6 with the gearing because this I still want to be able to ride highways or wherever

Back when I was still stocked gearded on my F4i I could cltuch it up in third when i was stagered no prob. I didn't even really have much problems with H/C but had to really give it in second to get it up.
Wish I had some of my old fottage to show you that I'm not pullin your chain. all it takes is practice. theres a reason why everyone uses the F4i to do stunts with......not cause of its power but its a very well ballenced and frogiving machine unlike the 929 you want to try.
Listen.....just keep practicing and I promise within the next couple of weeks you'll be on here giving people advice on how to do it :D
