1corinthians ch.1 = week 1 - ProZach - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n i liked 1Corinthians 1:31 Therefore, as the Scriptures say, "If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord" \n \nbut he kinda jumps around from subject to subjet while hes writing to the church in corinth. he talks about not "being a follower of him" or of apollos or peter ect ect but of Jesus Christ whom they were baptized in the Name of. \n \nthen talks about worldy wisdom and intelligence is no way to think about God, because the normal thinking of this world will not help you know God. i think its chapter 1 verse 21. i dont know im no writer or great conversationalist by any means so its hard for me to put into words what im trying to say. lol but i got the message in chapter one for the most part (i think) \n \ncant wait to hear what yall have to say about\r\n 1corinthians ch.1 = week 1 - Captain sPrOcKeT - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n 1 COR 1:12-13, I see this as the church.... It doesn\'t matter what church you go to or what dominion or congrigation you belong to... if you are for the Church or the paster and boast about how good your church and paster are then its meaningless, rather boast about the power of God in your Church the anointment of the Holy spirit that is working through the ministry under the Blood of Christ... We must stand as one under Christ, Christ is not devided... But we all must function differently in one body but for the same purpose! \r\nThat is to Glorify the Father and His Kingdom by reaching out and procaiming Jesus Christ King and fighting spiritually by prayer for those who has yet to see the light all in the name of Christ!\r\n 1corinthians ch.1 = week 1 - ProZach - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n very well said captain!\r\n 1corinthians ch.1 = week 1 - beardo - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n NOTE: i would type these verses out but i already have alot of typeing and little time, i figure you can read out of your book , but you can type yours out if you have time/want to \n1 corinthians ,1 \ntitle: \nthe foolishness of mankind and the world \nbest vs: 18, 27-29...... \nmen think they are wise but in truth w/o God we are fools. \nchallenge/hard vs: 5-8 \nchrist has forgiven me and His testimony should be evident in my life. i struggle daily to walk through this life and not fall short or be found wanting in the gifting God has given me.......vs.25:foolishness and weakness of God? i think i undestand the point paul is makeing but dont believe God has any foolishness or weakness. \nsummary: \nto me this chapter speaks of a truth that i have learned over the years by experience, that is, in the wisdom of my flesh... i know nothing in truth. when i think i have something figured out in my mind, almost everytime the right thing is exactly opposite of what i think is right. (spiritually) what im trying to say is prob. best explained in vs.27. the things that men and the world (myself included) considers valuable, amount to nothing as far as my spirituallity or God are concerned. (actual truth) schollars who highly value thier own wisdom, and are righteous in thier own eyes and in the worlds eyes, are acually w/o wisdom in what has real importance.they discount faith in God as weakness or stupidity and foolishness. the world (myself included) see things in a physical sence, and i believe that this physical world is opposite from what true reality is, and that reality is spiritual. ppl are spirit and those spirits dont die, even tho our physical body does. spiritual things are true reality. i is hard for me to explain what i mean but i hope you all get the point of what im saying. if i do the oposite of what my first thought or impulse is in a given situation, 9 times out of 10 that would be the correct thing to do and would be pleaseing to God, even tho 9 times out of 10 that choice would not make sence to most ppl, and would be considered stupid, wrong or foolishness....lol \n \ni dont know if any of this makes sence to you...and i just wanna say that this studdy usually doesnt take me this long, but im trying to articulate what i really mean, and im not very good at it....lol God bless.....beardo\r\n 1corinthians ch.1 = week 1 - Captain sPrOcKeT - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n It is clear..... \r\nThe spititual world is more real than we imagine... that is why faith is so important! \r\n \r\nQuote from another text, very well knows verse: Ef 6:12.... "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" \r\n \r\nWhat ever you do in the flesh, has a ripple effect (like throwing a stone into water) in the spiritual realm.\r\n 1corinthians ch.1 = week 1 - CrazyMike - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n I get what you are saying, beardo. One thing that really sticks out in that section of 1 Cor. is that "God chose the foolish things of this world to shame the wise". I think this statement i pretty profound. In another place in 1 cor. the apostle paul says that the cross is foolishness to those that are perishing. The world sees the the cross of Jesus and says, "that is ludicruous!". But God\'s ways are much higher than our ways. He could have chosen to simply forgive mankind for our sinfulness, but then he wouldn\'t have been a righteous judge. And our very soul\'s cry out for justice in the earth. We don\'t want to see a criminal get off scott-free. But our Lord is just and righteous and gracious. In one single swoop he justified man\'s sin by the death of his perfect Son, His wrath was absorbed and his love and grace was proven and made available. There is nothing more beautiful than the cross of Jesus. God\'s plan is perfect. But the world says "foolish!!!". But 1 Cor. says that God chose the foolish things to shame the wise. You cannot find true salvation simply based on intellect....I doubt. Rather, the Lord knows the intent of our hearts and has hidden the mysteries of his plan in such a way that only those who are repentant of their sinful lives and seek God to change their lives does he reveal those mysteries. The eyes of the world in its carnality and sinfulness is veiled from the truth. anywho, that\'s my 2 cents!\r\n 1corinthians ch.1 = week 1 - beardo - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n \r\n 1 cor. 1:18 and that is quite an insite...i agree 100%!! chapter 2 next saturday guys!!\r\n

1corinthians ch.1 = week 1 - joeltan - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n all i could think when it was spoken of the dividing of churches and who followed who was, cant we all just get along. \n \nGod does use the foolish things of this world to shame the wise. Things have been really rough on me this past week and I feel very bad for not being able to devote enough time to this. And i do have to say that you guys are aweseom at taking words from the bible and enlightining them\r\n 1corinthians ch.1 = week 1 - Twite - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n The binding theme here seems to be the unifying power of Christ (and Christ\'s absolute centrality). \nPaul begins by encouraging unity through the crucified Christ and discouraging divisions in the church. \nPaul then speaks of the crucifixion as "foolishness" in the eyes of man. It isn\'t some great wisdom, or self-righteous thing to be attained. It is a "foolishness" that is accessible to the lowliest person. Christ unifies everyone.\r\n 1corinthians ch.1 = week 1 - Gidget - 08-13-2026 \r\n \r\n I agree with what all of you are saying & I am glad that we are starting here & stop me if I\'m wrong but these passages help me alot because both of my parents are divorced and both have chosen different faiths & I am glad to have practicing parents to look up to but they are both divided by their faiths and pull me to choose but i think that as long as everyone believes in the power of christ it will unify us all & I think that is something alot of people have lost sight on. Its not about what church or congregation we belong to or should brag about but brag about the lord (1corinthians 31) and that we are all united in that way. \n \n> nice to see you found us twite :D\r\n |
