\r\n \r\n Some of the greatest atrocities in the life of this planet have occured in the name of organized religion....... some food for thought. I prefer to wander alone, and search my own form of truth.\r\n

\r\n \r\n I hope not, b/c I\'m not expecting to change anyone\'s mind, or call anyone ignorant if they don\'t agree with me. That\'s where the problem comes in....... when we can\'t agree to disagree. I think listening leads to learning, which leads to enlightenment. I have my beliefs, but I am always open to the fact that they can be challenged and changed at any given time if more substantial information or theory exists that contradicts what I think. Change my dear friends........... is inevitable. Once you get over that hump of realization.......... the rest is downhill.\r\n

another big problem i have is also the isolationism of the catholic religion. example my father is a good man and a catholic but he can\'t recieve comunion ever again cause his wife cheated on him and he got a divorce or my cousin is to be forever shunned because of her sexual orientation thats a big how can u pass judgement on these people they are not bad people.\r\n

nor am i......but certain people seek out to change our minds. higher form of enlightenment is always welcome but a forced change brings resistance no one wants anything forced on them. but people always try.\r\n

Well, I\'m not bashing Catholicism, TRUST ME, but I find fault with it as well....... as I could with ANY organized religion. For example...... Catholic religion sees women as inferior, hence why they cannot become priests, altar servers, deacons, and the like. That\'s not fair. Also and I realize that NOT, I REPEAT NOT....... all priests are like this, but......
\n
\nHow can I take life advice from a 70 yr. old man who molests little boys? The very segregation of a priest from family life leads to those sick compulsions. I think any organized religion will have it\'s flaws....... the best forum I\'ve found for personal growth and learning comes not from a church, but from roundtable conversations with other enlightened people who are ready to teach AND TO BE TAUGHT!!!!!!! That\'s where true growth takes place.\r\n
