I found out recently that the mixture screw on my stock carb needs a special tool to change the setting. I thought about going to a stock crf 70 carb instead but i was curious to see if there are other 50 years where the mixture came with a normal screw that anyone can change, and if so, if i could buy that screw and just throw it in where mine is now.

Honda did that to stock 50 carbs in 2006 . Kinda stupid .

i believe that screw only controls the mixture at idle. if you want to change midrange throttle mixture and whatnot you have to take the needle out and raise or lower the clip.

The needle isn't adjustable in an '06 either. But since I've posted this thread I figured I'm just gonna buy a 20mm carb and intake kit from 50stunt. It's a fair price and will give me full adjustment w/ some extra power.

don't you think a 20mm would be overkill for your stock 50cc?

i sent an email to ryan. he said it be good. and then couple others i talked to said with a rev box it'd be fine. might put it off for a little while though. i hear i'd see a bigger improvement in my riding from gettin a set of street tires than i would tryin to rework a carb so think i'm gonna get the rubber first. my carb seems to be runnin pretty fair right now cause the temperatures are back in the usual florida range.
