how did you get the 09 swing to fit on the frame ? was it hard ? you detail pictures? will build me such ... Best regards from Norway

I dont have any pictures of the steel frame modifications, but here is how I did it for the stock frame, and it is basically the same thing you need to do..

The 09 swingarm is wider then the 03-08 swingarms, so you need to take material off the inside of the frame on both sides...I used a milling machine

I also took off about 1/4" from the right side of the swingarm for more clearance

And I turned down about 1/2" of the threaded area on the pivot shaft so that it would work, it was too short otherwise

Shock mount is the same but the the 09 swingarm will lower the rear end of the bike, one bike had an Ohlins shock so I was able to lengthen the shock to make up for that...The other bike had a stock 09 shock so I used spacers under the top shock mount on the frame to make the rear end the same as stock or even a little higher....You can use any 05-13 shock....

Personally I have not ridden the steel frame much, I am still building my 09 steel frame bike, this one was for my friend. He loves it though, and says he never go back to stock frames.....I prefer the Badass designs but his wait time is stupid long....Be prepared to wait a long ass time
