thermastat 636 replacement - J Blox - 11-21-2012 maybe its a problem with your front brake. have you check its operation yet? thermastat 636 replacement - Duane S. - 11-21-2012 This last time on and on the kickstand when I get back from Florida ill take the cap off I've done this about 4x now thermastat 636 replacement - navajowalks - 11-21-2012 You need to run it with the cap off homie... That way hhe air can get out... On the kickstand the radiator cap or fill hole is at the highest point. If you watch it and see air bubbles coming out then there is air in it... The coolant is going to expand and start over flowing then you may see it burn and the coolant level drop a significant amount... That was a big air pocket... After that turn it off let it cool and notice you coolant level is lower... Top it off, pour slowly... And repeat a couple times if nessesary.. thermastat 636 replacement - hypermike-gba - 11-21-2012 So far you have changed te radiator, head gasket and thermostat. If it continues to over heat do a leak down test and a pressue test on the radiator to see if there are any issues with the head. A warped or cracked head can allow combustion pressure to go into the radiatior and it will over heat like that. thermastat 636 replacement - Duane S. - 11-21-2012 Haven't changed the head gasket I only changed the water pump seals thermastat and radiator. Fans blow right it holds a dollar on it when on. Thinking its a air bubble thermastat 636 replacement - old man roger - 11-21-2012 Start the bike when it's cold with the cap off, lean the bike left and right, shake it a little, and squeeze the hoses. After that put the cap on and run the bike up to normal operating temperature then let it cool and check the level. thermastat 636 replacement - hypermike-gba - 11-22-2012 Im telling you if the thermostat does not work. See if the radiator is being pressurised. If it is then you have a blown head gasket thermastat 636 replacement - old man roger - 11-22-2012 I asked him if it was spitting out coolant, he said it wasn't. thermastat 636 replacement - StuntBikeJake - 11-22-2012 Any excessive smoke out of the exhaust? thermastat 636 replacement - Duane S. - 11-22-2012 none |
