yeah ive never had a problem with white wheels, when its powder its easier cuz you can use almost any cleaner to get brake dust and grease off um if it gets away from ya a little, but with these being painted on outsides ill have to be a lil careful.

Took yesterday off and got quite a bit done, got front end on even tho i messed up one fork and the vinyl but ill redo it anyhow cuz ill have to pull the forks to change clip ons if i run adjustables under the triple. Spent a while mounting the subframe and trimmin battery tray, mounted scrap bar and trimmed tail just a hair but everythings bolted up and good to go on the back end. got a few other lil things to do over the next week but ill be basically waitin for my radiator and cage to come back from zeusr6, once i get that i can finish basically everything until i get a stay and a subcage.

What happened to the forks? I notice left side the top is black, did they tear goin into the triple

The bike looks sick already I can't wait to see with fairings . Will it be SF or FF

Stubbz 05 R6 Build - Stubbz63 - 12-19-2012

FF of course with zeus steel stay and all. yeah left side ripped when we were sliding them up in so i removed it and cut the top off and put it back in, im gonna cut some vinyl and install it while its on there n should look same as the right but i figure ill be pulling them off again at some point if i do adjustable clip ons ill probly put them under the triple, i may or may not have R6V forks by spring anyhow and if i do ill have them actually powdered.

i did the right side by myself i spread the triples and shoved washers into the slot to keep them open, put fork on and bolted clip on up top where they needed to be then removed washers, worked perfect.

And by that I mean do it lol

haha get with andy he just did his or his buddy did with a carbon look black, saw a pic of um looks good, its not that hard to put on its more of a pain to put the forks on after vs just puttin vinyl on. cover the flat part from top to bottom all at once then cut smaller pieces to wrap around the lower part of the fork where it steps out, piece of cake.

Stubbz 05 R6 Build - R1wonder - 12-19-2012

Andy did his forks ? Ill have to check em out

Stubbz 05 R6 Build - Stubbz63 - 12-19-2012

yeah he had a pic on fb yesterday. just use the washer spacing thing to keep the clamps open and you'll be good to go, i learned the hard way having kyd spread them with a screwdriver as i slid them up. fail! he was all worried about spacing them out cuz he thinks they'll break or something, they were fine and i knew they would be.
