but..i agree that our nations leaders have misled the american people time and time again and that many of these instances could, in fact, be planned attacks perpetrated by american people(cia,fbi,etc.)on the american people, in my eyes to achieve one or both of two goals. first goal, vilify the enemy and create a reason to go to war, because as we all know wars make the US a lot of money. eisenhower warned the american people of the industrial war machine and its potential for misuse. the second reason is to instill fear in your people, which makes them seek the gov't for protection. another person did this..his name was hitler.

the average american(me) can't conceive of the decision making that goes on at the top. for instance, what if you knew that killing 4000 of your citizens could potentially save 4 million lives in the long run. those are the decisions that sometimes have to be made. and i, for one, am glad i'm not in the postion to have to make those kind of decisions

No need, all you have to do is squash the radar intel that they had incoming aircraft. Don;t you find it odd that ALL the aircraft carriers at Pearl were out on training?

i see your point, but that brings me back to my point. the 2 nucs we dropped on japan are thought to have saved over 4 million lives if the war persisted.
thats the kind of decisions that have to be made by people in power. what decision would you have made in if put in that position?

I agree with that assessment. If we would have tried to invade the home land of Japan, it would have been a LONG fight.

May have been, but nobody listens. Pick up some metals, gold for long term and big purchases, silver for medium purchases, just silver for every day money and ammo for barter and protection. If it gets as bad as some think, all hell is going to break loose in the next few years.

Packaged 50 lbs of rice in 5 cup vacuum bags today. Picked up 25 lbs of sugar for canning and 3 months worth of formula for Colin. Diapers and TP this weekend. I am concerned about N Korea.

Read the book "1 second after" and you will see my concern. Just wish I had time to buy land and get outta the city.
