i know this is a super bump. but im curious what are the benefits of the clean air mod opposed to not doing it?

You'll hydro lock your motor due to oil entering the air box when you drop your bike or have a crash. Clean air mod eliminates the possibility of hydro locking and damaging your motor. Must have for any stunt bike IMO!!!
