Lets get a little more specific, what is the best setup for pullin' through for a tall rider on an 03/04?! My tank has an "O-town" dent and I hate it.

He 100% did not raise prices for that cap are u retarted? The price on that cap is $168 so how would raising his price $100 help him in anyway? He would be losing $68 lol.......I talk to Ryan over the phone on a daily basis he raised his price cause he doesn't make shit doing these tanks and its a shit ton if work and it wasn't worth it for him to keep doing them for $200....and for the record that push up cap was bought extra BY the customer that customer is my best friend Ian Gaines he didn't like the looks of the other caps so he opted to my the push up on his own dime

For the record "flat" or "dip" does not coincide with ff or sf it depends on the tank and the person for example sure u can do an r6 in a flat top but it would be almost impossible to do anything becaus of how the tank is shaped on the underside a full flat top makes u sit so high it's not even funny u can do a flat on 09+ zx6's because of how the tank is in the underside again it is preference of rider or how the tank is shaped originally had nothing to do with ff or sf

I agree completely.

The tanks are a ton of work, ESPECIALLY since he does each one to the customer's spec, so it's basically scratch building each with no templates or anything. I wouldn't do one for less than $300.

I had a really deep dent on my 06 half tank before trying the flat top. The dent actually put me lower that the flat top, and it feels pretty funny now, so I'm going to do another one that has an angle or dip in it. Like I said in my other post, if you're a tall dude that isn't super flexible, I would look at a tank that has a dip in it, and maybe a little narrower on the sides. I'm 6'2" and only moderately flexible so that's what I'm doing next.

One other thing is I've been working up to foot in bar staggered no handers. I see guys doing them and they have their body right up against the tank. With my current tank and it's high lip, I can't get that close so a lower lip will also help with that.

But that's what I get for being a squid and jumping head first into projects I don't know crap about!

my opinion if you cant pull threw on an 03/04 with an o town dent, which is back and low then theres probly no hope for you cuz i can pull threw on an 03/04 636 with o town dent but cant with any other bike or tank that ive had. youd need to push the lip back farther then where stock dent will allow and you may get more room to do it, kinda like what guys do with 09s for that reason.

Cut a hole in your seat and to Foot in seat no handers. Much easier then in the bar cuz youre a little higher up.

Man I've been wondering the same thing about the 0304 tanks lately. I could pull threw on my dent I had on my 0304 but it was to much work and wanted to try somethin different. Shitty for me I had a bad wreck so didn't get to try anything. I can walk now so I've been workin on few tanks tanks of mine. Haven't got any seat time on the one I finished but when i sat in it, it gave me so much more room for pull threws. I just didnt like how fAr back i was in the tank. I'm 6 2 also, with my clip ons turned in a bit.

I'm working on another 0304 that was trashed. So I had to cut the front sides out like minis new tank, which will give more room for pull thews. Then I notched my airbox down for more room. So I should have more then enough room when I get done with it. But I'll post pics whenever I get done.

I have a hole in my seat, but I could never do staggered with it. I can't seem to straighten out my leg so it gets tired real fast and I'm all over the place. Then I tried it with my foot on the bar and boom! instant idle like it's nothing. idk, maybe I'm just speshul...

That's exactly what I want to do. It's going to be a little different for the stupid half tank on my 06 but that's what I want. Yours looks really good too!
