Shotgun slug will do it.. But i might just drill a tiny hole closer to the vent for the tank. The ball thing is on the right of the cap, but the whole for my overflow/vent is on the left. I knew you said earlier that if you dont take the ball out, your "seal " will fail.. i didnt want to fail.. So i took drastic action.

but you did the opposite of what taking the ball out would do

it will be ok if the filler hole can vent to the well around it but if the filler hole is sealed then you may end up blowing out some thing , from what steve tells me the f4i tank vents internally so theres no need for a vent on that but most other bikes need a vent

if you have the type of vortex cap that has the little check ball in it take out the little ball and spring from the base then seal the base to the tank with a rubber gasket ...

the ball and spring always end up sticking allowing pressure to build in the tank and that pushes out almost any gasket but if the ball and spring are gone any pressure will bleed out the over flow ..

Sooo i basically EPIC FAIL'd.. You pobably should have mentioned that earlier, lol. I think drilling a hole top left shelf will be money.. No need for balls, its high so less change of gass spillage and everything will be ookkk..

i mentioned it [see above] but yeah you can just drill a super tiny hole so the filler hole can vent to the well and any gas that gets in there will spill out the drain hole instead of on your ass ..as long as your base is sealed to the tank that is
