\r\n \r\n good info fellas.... no one is running a 6.0 with an after market egr cooler and oil cooler.. i hear the 6.0s are tits if you do that and so all the maintenance on time with factory oil and filters... o and they say the 6.0s love to be run hard...\r\n

\nwell yes and no. old school mech can be crazy reliable but new elec can make crazy power. I just think elec control has been taken too far.so many new trucks just kick their own asses down the road with shitty electronics.\r\n

I have a 04 6.0 and my EGR went out. If you don\'t have to deal with smogging it in your state, you can get the delete kit as well. Or just get the BulletProof EGR. I\'ve talked to about 15 shops and everyone single one has told me once they installed the BulletProof EGR, they\'ve never had a truck come back. Quote:

\r\nI\'ve also talked to them about what issues they have and they\'ve all told me the EGR is pretty much the only issue and pretty common to go out. Other than that, its a GREAT.

\r\nI have yet to install the Bullet Proof EGR in my truck and its been sitting in my drive-way for 3 months now. Its either fix my truck or buy a house. I picked buying the house first. Hoping to get it fixed soon though.\r\n

Yes, those motors are HORRIBLE!!!!! The 7.3L from 2000-2001 have forged rods and can actually handle a good amount of power.\r\n

really want a new new used diesel... looking to spend around 30,000 so iv been looking at 05 - 08, 6.0 powerstrokes, 5.9 cummings and the duramax with the allison trans... i have no clue what to get i dont mind doing maintenance and minor repairs but i dont want to deal with alot of problems.. just looking for more advice thanks..
