thats whats nice about the motion pro kit, you dont use the inside lip of the bearing at all, the center sleeve could literally be hooked to the bearing and you could pull it out all at once. look into the way they work its pretty neat and super easy to do. ill be doin my cousins gix wheels in next cpl weeks here so ill find out if its harder with those. for 45 bucks you really cant beat the price for the motion pro kit

The pilot bearing puller from autozone doesnt need a lip. you put it inside the bearing, turn a screw to expand it, use the slide hammer to get it out. works great and is a free rental. Im not sure if the motion pro works the same way.

the motion pro kit has a collet that goes into the center of the bearing, you put it on the floor and hold the wheel on it, you use a supplied screwdriver looking piece and go from the opposite side and put it down into the slot in the collet thats already on the bearing, you just pound that in a bit and it spreads the hardened steel collet to it basically does the same idea that stlzach just mentioned when you screw out the type he has. then you stand up the wheel, give a little heat around the rim if you plan on reusing the bearing and just tap lightly with a hammer and it pushes it right out. i didnt think itd work that good when i first looked into um but the thing is sweet, no chance of any damage to the inner sleeve or anything, kit comes with 5 different sizes up to 25mm which is what kawis use. i bought an extra 28mm one for gix wheels cuz the rears bigger i guess. the extra 28 or 30mm ones are only 10 bucks, i just ordered the 28mm with the kit to save on shipping, cost me 55 total shipped
