There's just a couple things you need to know, like how to properly torque things, keeping everything clean, etc. You don't really even need a manual except for getting torque values or wear limits and stuff like that. If you take it apart, it's pretty easy to know how it all goes back together. I had mine apart for a couple months and I remembered all of it even with my crap memory lol! All except that damn cam chain... There's a couple specialty tools that really help, too.

Sweet man i think im gonna give it a shot if i ever blow my motor.

Zip tie to the forks.

I know people warn about that, but it seems like zip tying the crossover line to the forks just brings it closer to the tire? idk, but SS race lines are on the list.

Yeah, just don't loose the damn clip that holds the tranny bearing from sliding or you'll have headaches! And put the cam chain in first lol

Got some ASV bling today! My old brake lever was real short because of how I had it setup on my stock clipons. And my finger sat right at the end of the bend so I had very little leverage.

Old ...

new :D

You can see I have about an inch more lever advantage now. And yes, I did relocate my reservoir after I took these pics...

I also took a page out of the Honda race team's book for my rear "reservoir". I don't use that plastic shield over the exhaust midpipe, so there was nothing to mount my old reservoir to so it kinda just flopped around.

I wouldn't run my rear brake without a res, I used to run that on my old r6. and when I stunted it the rear brake went out competley because of the no res setup. I put a res back on and never had the problem again.

That setup works for race bikes because most racers don't use rear brake much or at all

+1 in a wheelie that air is gonna float right into the master. At least zip tie it facing forward

Hmm, I thought I saw someone do this on their stunt bike so I thought it would be perfect. I had thought of the air, too but again I thought it would work because I saw it... Come to think of it, without a vented cap it probably won't work well anyway. Hmmm... good thing it was only a couple of bucks, back to the drawing board I guess. At least now I have some 6mm tube. I'll probably just cut a real short hose and use a small reservoir right above the master...

The important thing about a res is the diaphragm in it, as the pads wear and the piston moves out it pulls the fluid down and creates vacuum in a sealed setup like yours. Eventually the hose will start to collapse and the brake will stop working completely. Basically I was wheeling wheeling away and all of a sudden no brake at all....Open the cap and bleed it again and it would work for some time, then eventually go dead again....

Since most racers don't use rear brake at all or very little, and bleed brakes often, its not a problem for them...We however use rear brake alot and that where the problem comes from

Sic innovations came out with a triple clamp that had a build in res with no diaphragm, I posted in their thread that it was going to cause problems. Everyone basically said I was an idiot and didnt know what I was talking about...Then shortly after they changed the design to one that had brembo res with diaphragm because I was 100% correct, eventually without a diaphragm you will have problems

bike looks great man, you could have gotten almost the same amount of leverage out of the brembo lever as the asv if you had them mounted like you do now which they should have been anyhow. not sure how you were usin that original setup with your hb so close to your grip like that lol.
