A typical tank will accept 6-9 blocks. Any amount will help, but the more the better. This foam is a 60ppi material and displaces approximately one pint per three gallons of fuel. So it will reduce your capacity by about an eighth of a gallon if you use 9 blocks. I have 12 blocks in my dented tank but it's stuffed to the max
