Nissan owners warning - SDFKILLZ - 01-03-2012

If you own a 2005 to 2009 Frontier with an auto transmission go check your coolant and transmission fluid for contamination. The transmission line inside the main radiator is cracking causing cross contamination which starts with symptoms of a hard shift into overdrive and feeling of riding on rumble strips. It progresses to hard shifting in all the gears and transmission slippage. Even if you havent had any symptoms I would recommend you change your radiator anyway to be safe. Nissan put out a warranty extension for this problem to 80000 miles to replace the radiator and transmission if you have the problem yet they failed to let anyone know about it so most of us have trickled past the 80k mile mark before having any problems. Not sure if it's affecting any other Nissan vehicles which may use the same radiator.
